Meet Sarah Zhang, eCommerce Analyst!
Hi, I’m Sarah! I love to travel and experience different cultures – especially local food – which always brings me new ideas and perspectives.
What does a typical day look like in your role?
My typical workday involves assisting multiple customers with advertisementing of their eCommerce account, checking every account that I am responsible for and communicating with customers if there are any industry updates or software updates. I normally do data analysis in the morning while checking accounts and do adjustments for advertisements in the afternoon.
Why did you choose to pursue a career in your field?
I want to be the person that leads customers to the proper products that they need which would both benefit customers and sellers by using data analytical skills. I had prior customer service work experience which confirmed that I love to help people. I also have an accounting background which makes me very comfortable with data analytics.
What’s one thing you’ve worked on recently that you’re proud of?
Recently, I helped a client achieve their sales target and being able to see their sales volumes grow every day made me excited.
Why did you decide to join Teikametrics? Why do you stay?
I would say it was the hiring process and my managers made me decide to join Teikametrics. The Recruiter who approached me was the most professional and helpful Recruiter I had ever met which made me become extremely interested and wanted to know more about Teikametrics.
The hiring process was very smooth and transparent. After I met my manager and country manager, I knew right away that Teikametrics is the company I want to be part of. The questions they asked during the interview made me feel like we shared the same values, and they were both great communicators who are easy to talk to. People are from very different backgrounds within the company, but we always work really close and everyone helps each other, which really makes Teika the best company!
What do you like most about working remotely?
Flexibility would be the one biggest thing that I personally really benefit from working remotely. I sometimes prefer working at night when I have more clear thoughts and can be not interrupted by anything else so that I can really focus on what I am doing. The efficiency improved for me personally while working remotely. In addition, management notices good performance rather than long hours which is much fair to employees.
How has Teikametrics supported your career development?
Teika has been very supportive in terms of personal or career development. Teika values the continuous education of every employee and there is a proper program set up for it which everyone has access to.
What’s something that can only happen at Teikametrics?
The transparency within the company is incredible. We have one-on-one meetings with our manager set up so that we can really communicate with the management level to talk about anything, which I think is a genius idea. In addition, we have weekly All Hands meetings with every employee across the organization. The transparent culture is incredible!
What’s one thing you wish more people knew about Teikametrics?
It is truly a fair, transparent, people-oriented community. Teika really values the effort you put in and gives everyone the chance to grow and be heard.
